Afterly is a private digital timeline where parents save notes, photos, videos, and voice recordings as their children grow up. Instead of letting meaningful moments disappear into camera rolls or group chats, parents build a living Story over time. On a future date they choose, their child unlocks the entire timeline at once. Not as a social feed or shared drive, but as a deeply personal record of how they were seen, loved, and remembered.

Afterly is a private digital timeline designed for families. Parents create a Story for each child and begin capturing moments as they happen — short notes, photos, videos, and voice recordings that would otherwise be lost to time. The product is intentionally simple. Open the app, add a memory, save it. Over months and years, these small entries accumulate into something much bigger: a structured, chronological record of childhood seen through a parent’s eyes. Each child has their own private timeline. Parents can build one Story or multiple. There are no followers, no feeds, and no public sharing. Afterly is not social media and not cloud storage. It is a long-term space built specifically for meaning. Parents choose a future Gift Day — such as an 18th birthday or graduation — when the entire Story unlocks at once. On that day, ownership transfers, and the child receives a complete timeline of memories, reflections, and voice recordings that capture how they were seen and loved throughout their early years. Afterly exists to preserve what usually disappears: not just the photos, but the thoughts behind them.
I’m building Afterly because I grew up with very little documentation of my childhood. We moved often. Photos were lost. What remains are a handful of stories my mom tells me from memory. When she tells them, I can see the joy in her face. I can hear how much those moments meant to her. But I don’t get to experience them the way she does. I don’t get her real-time perspective — what she was thinking, what she was worried about, what she felt watching me grow up. Most of us have childhood photos. Very few of us have our parents’ reflections behind them. Parenting moves quickly. The early years are intense, emotional, exhausting, and deeply meaningful. But the thoughts behind those moments usually disappear. They live in memory for a while, then fade. Afterly exists to preserve that missing layer. It gives parents a simple way to capture small moments as they happen — not for social media, not for performance, but for the future. Over time, those entries become a structured story that can be gifted back to a child when the time is right. I’m building Afterly so no kid has to wonder how they were seen or loved during the years they were too young to remember.

Thumb POV
I built ThumbPOV because I was tired of seeing the same flat, generic thumbnails everywhere. I wanted something that looked cinematic — like the text was part of the scene, not just slapped on top. ThumbPOV lets you put text behind your subject in seconds, no Photoshop skills needed. It’s quick, fun, and honestly kind of addictive once you try it. Would love to hear your feedback, ideas, or even see what thumbnails you create! 🚀
